Upon the letter of the Ministry of National Education dated 10 March 2004 and numbered 5576, it was decided by the Council of Ministers to establish the School of Foreign Languages within Afyon Kocatepe University on 22 March 2004 in accordance with the additional article 30 of the Law dated 28 March 1983 and numbered 2809. The decision of the Council of Ministers was published in the Official Gazette dated 30 April 2004 and numbered 25448.
The School of Foreign Languages carries out English preparatory class education, which is compulsory and optional in different programmes of our university. In addition, it school also organises foreign language courses within the scope of compulsory courses to be taught in all faculties, colleges and institutes
