As the School of Foreign Languages, orientation meetings for our English Preparatory Program students were held on 23–24 September 2025. During the meetings, which were attended by our School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cahit Erdem, students were provided with detailed information about our new campus and the structure and functioning of the preparatory program.
As part of the orientation, our Vice Directors Lect. Şebnem Peten and Lect. İlkin Uysal thoroughly explained important points that students should pay attention to throughout the preparatory program. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Güngör, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Education, Dr. Evren Barut, faculty member of the Department of English Translation and Interpreting, and Res. Asst. Nurullah Kart from the Faculty of Tourism introduced their departments and provided relevant information to the students. Furthermore, police officers assigned by the Provincial Police Department informed students about cybercrime awareness and combating addiction.
In addition to these sessions, staff members from our university’s Health, Culture, and Sports Department provided information about guidance and psychological counseling services.
